Colin Ritchie is currently the CFO of Agora Asset Management and COO of First Empire Capital, who has had various experience in financial services and data analytics. (SOLD OUT) Arguably one of the most prominent and essential tool in any classroom, workplace and home, it’s surprising how few individuals are truly steeped into the intricacies and workings of Microsoft Excel.

And so, Cainz is excited to present: Excel with EY! Over two days of workshops, you will hear from senior consultants from EY about how to master Excel.

A CFO’s Insight In A Time of Disruption

Colin Ritchie, the current CFO for Agora Asset Management, will be discussing his experience at ANZ, Morgan Stanley, Merricks Capital and role as a founder in our career journeys workshop – a CFO’s insight in a time of disruption.

This interactive workshop will include advice on how to give yourself a competitive advantage, highlight different levels of roles within a business, discuss expectations of your seniors and how to impress, as well as include an activity-based brainstorm of industry changes and challenges.

Discussing the importance of technology, Colin will demonstrate how technology can be used in data analytics, what this means for your future career and how this led to him found RitchViewer, a data analytics tool.

Financial Modelling Workshop

Cainz invites you to our Financial Modelling Workshop with Lance Rubin, where you can learn about the significance of financial modelling.

Lance has a wealth of modelling experience across financial and professional services having worked at two of the Big 4 accounting, Investec Bank Corporate Finance & Advisory and National Australia Bank across both retail and wholesale banking divisions and products. He now runs his own financial modelling consultancy firm, Model Citizn.

The workshop will start off with a 1 hour discussion session, focusing on the trends and future applications of financial modelling, including the impact of automation and new technology, as well as the programs and software that can be used for financial modelling.

Fireside Chat with Steven Münchenberg

This semester’s Executive in Residence at the University of Melbourne, Steven Münchenberg will be joining us in an intimate session where attendees are provided with a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights from an accomplished industry professional!

Until last year, Steven was the Chief Executive of the Australian Bankers’ Association, dealing with the banking industry’s growing political, regulatory, media and social risks. He previously led government relations for a major bank through the global financial crisis, was Deputy Chief Executive of the Business Council of Australia. Much of his thirty year career in public policy has been working directly with the chief executives and chairs of Australia’s largest companies. He currently advises institutions on understanding and managing their reputation risks.

Cainz is excited to present our first event of the second semester: Bottom Up Investing Event, run by Roger Walling, Portfolio Manager at Ralton Asset Management.

A CFO’s Insight In A Time of Disruption

Colin Ritchie, the current CFO for Agora Asset Management, will be discussing his experience at ANZ, Morgan Stanley, Merricks Capital and role as a founder in our career journeys workshop – a CFO’s insight in a time of disruption.

Financial Modelling Workshop

Cainz invites you to our Financial Modelling Workshop with Lance Rubin, where you can learn about the significance of financial modelling.

Lance has a wealth of modelling experience across financial and professional services having worked at two of the Big 4 accounting, Investec Bank Corporate Finance & Advisory and National Australia Bank across both retail and wholesale banking divisions and products. He now runs his own financial modelling consultancy firm, Model Citizn.

The workshop will start off with a 1 hour discussion session, focusing on the trends and future applications of financial modelling, including the impact of automation and new technology, as well as the programs and software that can be used for financial modelling.

This semester’s Executive in Residence at the University of Melbourne, Steven Münchenberg will be joining us in an intimate session where attendees are provided with a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights from an accomplished industry professional!

Until last year, Steven was the Chief Executive of the Australian Bankers’ Association, dealing with the banking industry’s growing political, regulatory, media and social risks. He previously led government relations for a major bank through the global financial crisis, was Deputy Chief Executive of the Business Council of Australia. Much of his thirty year career in public policy has been working directly with the chief executives and chairs of Australia’s largest companies. He currently advises institutions on understanding and managing their reputation risks.

Cainz is excited to present our first event of the second semester: Bottom Up Investing Event, run by Roger Walling, Portfolio Manager at Ralton Asset Management.

Roger will be joining us to present his investment methods, firstly looking at company specifics then an industry overview.

This workshop will have two components:

  1. Roger will do a presentation on investment methods and key metrics to observe and analyse investment options
